THI’s Train your Brain programs provide a competitive edge for athletes of all ages ready to take their performance to the next level. It’s time to start learning the skills of thinking, feeling and behaving well to get the positive results you desire.
The “Train Your Brain” programs are built on the foundations of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and aim to provide access to effective mindfulness based treatment for diverse client populations. The program is focused on helping clients to achieve their specific goals by increasing their overall brain awareness and functioning. This is achieved by teaching new CBT tools and concepts that allow the client to challenge and overcome perceived barriers within their life. Our clients will experience an increased level of confidence and resilience, even when completing demanding tasks or during stressful events in their life. They will become more aware of the relationship between their thoughts, feelings and behaviours.

Child and Adolescent Cognitive Health Services
Master of Social Work (MSW), Registered Social Worker (RSW) Ontario
Registered Social Workers with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) conduct all THI’s Cognitive Health Services. The Registered Social Worker also has a Master of Social Work Degree in order to provide clinical services.
Health Insurance Coverage
OHIP does not cover THI’s Cognitive Health Services but many private health plans or employee group benefits provide coverage for social work services. If social workers are not currently on the list of professionals covered in your insurance plan, ask them to be added. The majority of insurance companies state that they do not cover social work services because the public does not ask for inclusion of this benefit in private health plans.
