Dr. Joel NM Kerr BPHE, DC, D.Ac
Dr. Joel NM Kerr has a Doctorate of Chiropractic from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC). He holds a Bachelor of Physical Education Health degree from the University of Toronto. Dr. Kerr has completed the Contemporary Medical Acupuncture course for health professionals at McMaster University. He is a certified Active Release Technique (ART®) provider of the lower limb and spine. Dr. Kerr is the official team doctor for the Oshawa Power, National Basketball League of Canada. He enjoys working at the grass root level with young athletes. Dr. Kerr is currently the health & fitness consultant for multiple competitive sports teams (basketball, soccer, dance, baseball, hockey and rugby) in the Greater Toronto Area. These professional experiences, combined with formal education in healthcare, set the method that Dr. Kerr uses to effectively manage acute or chronic injuries that his patients sustain at work or play.

Guisa Ahmed, BPHE, RMT, CK, CPT
Guisa Ahmed received his Bachelor of Physical & Health Education at the University of Toronto. He is currently a certified Kinesiologist and personal trainer. Guisa uses his education and experience to play an integral role in many aspects of clinical care, rehabilitation, weight management, and health education in the areas of sport, recreation, work and exercise. Mr. Ahmed strongly believes that customized programs are the most important factors to achieving optimal physical health and mental well-being.

Colby Hathaway MSC, BScKin, CSCS, CEP
Colby earned his Master’s of Science from York University in 2008 and Bachelor’s of Science in Kinesiology from the University of New Brunswick in 2005. Over the years, he has been able to test and train many athletes at the grassroots level up to professional and national level athletes. Past experience includes working the annual NHL Draft Combine, CFL Combine, Basketball Canada Athlete Testing, Toronto Maple Leafs Training Camp, Rugby Canada, OHL Draft Combine and QMJHL Draft Combine.

Augustine Jatoe MSW,RSW

Augustine Jatoe is a Registered Clinical Social Worker in Ontario and earned his Master of Social Work degree from York University. He has over 7 years’ experience working in private practice dealing with mind performance techniques and as clinical provider to many corporate Employee Assistance Programs within Canada.

Kimberley Parnell B.Sc.
Kimberley Parnell is the Health Ambassador/Facilitator at THI. Kim studied Neuroscience at both the University of Windsor and University of Toronto with a goal of applying to medical school. Though she has since put that focus on hold to pursue her dream of acting, health and fitness still remains an integral part of Kim’s life. She has been involved in physical activity from a young age participating in activities such as dance, soccer, and swimming, and has allowed the habit of being active to carry through to adulthood. Kim is an advocate for healthy eating and is constantly creating efficient and nutritious recipes designed to fit into any busy lifestyle. Kim’s energetic, outgoing and approachable demeanor makes her an essential part of THI’s team on the outreach programs.

I have always been an advocate of health and wellness which lead me to pursue my undergraduate degree in Kinesiologiy and Health Science at York University. This further fueled my passion in health promotion and increased my desire to work with individuals to help enhance their quality of life. I have worked with all ages groups from kids to seniors, however the majority of my current experience is working with adults and seniors to rehabilitate them and educate them on injury prevention and maintaining a healthy living.

Arman Golizadeh B.A
Arman Golizadeh earned his B.A in the Kinesiology Specialized Honours program at York University. . Arman’s approach to health is to be a living example of the best version of you, always strive to reach that state and perfect it. He Incorporates scientific knowledge as well as knowledge gained through own experiences as a trainer/athlete, ultimately sub merging the theoretical and practical application of training and most importantly a healthy lifestyle. Arman’s passion for training and growing stronger not just physically but mentally as well combines a scientific and philosophical approach to training. Working as a trainer he has worked with a wide range of people from diabetics and cancer patients, pre and post-surgery, and athletes of all ages, particularly at the grassroots level.
